EFAD Member Airwars is looking for a new advocacy officer and conflict researcher, based at PAX in Utrecht. Airwars monitors international military activities in several regions, and lobbies for more transparancy and public accountability for such activities. This particular position focuses on the Dutch and Belgian military forces, which both are ranked amongst the least transparent nations fighting in the coalition against the so-called Islamic State.
Responsbilities include monitoring military activities through the use of open-source investigation methods, connect with politicians, military officials and governmental departments, and raise public awareness on the need for transparency and accountability for military operations.
The position is full-time and for one year. An extensive job description can be found at Oneworld.nl.
